Rabbi Aryeh Spero says that too many American Jews are silent in the face of the destruction of shops, synagogues and Jewish institutions in Los Angeles. They are apparently afraid to appear not “woke.” Even though it has been well documented that Black Lives Matter is an inherently antisemitic organization and that the looting and destruction of Jewish neighborhoods is part and parcel of what this organization stands for.

Spero says that “justice must be justice for all.” No one group should be singled out and persecuted. And that is the lesson we must learn from what happened to George Floyd. Because it’s not about how we appear to the neighbors but about what’s right.
