Protesters from Black Lives Matter and other organizations calling for the destruction of the State of Israel came out in the thousands all across the United States on July 1st, declared a “Day of Rage” by the Palestinian Authority, a response to Israel’s intention to apply civil law to the disputed territories. Now, everyone has the right to free speech, but not when it’s the type of antisemitic speech that pervaded the rallies. Here are some of the chants heard at rallies in Brooklyn and Washington, DC., for instance:
“Death to Israel”
“Intifada, intifada”
“We want it all”
“Israel murders children”
Here, take a listen:
“We don’t wanna go just back to our homes in Gaza and the West Bank. We want all of it…we don’t want your two states.”
A taste of today’s #DayofRage in Brooklyn.
Additional chants from today include the genocidal “From the river to the sea” and “Intifada, intifada.” pic.twitter.com/DeUUZ6x44I
