Forgive me if I just don’t understand how Roseanne makes a tasteless tweet and her show gets canceled, but Samantha Bee makes a tasteless comment and everyone says it’s not the same thing and her apology is accepted and her life goes on as usual. Is the difference that in the first case, the comment was thought to be racist, in the second, merely vulgar? Or is the difference that Roseanne is a conservative and a Trump supporter, while Samantha Bee’s politics are to the left?

In any event, both of them apologized. In punishing Roseanne, many other people on the show lost their jobs. How is THAT fair?
